I am 45 years old (I know, I really DO look like I am 29, and so I am holding there), and love to learn, whether through books, articles, etc., in other words, reading, as well as through experience.
I am LDS, and have been all my life. Not the Peter Priesthood type, but an LDS none the same.
I teach the Elder's Quorum. (They haven't kicked me out yet for translating out the Hebrew and Greek scriptures, so so far, I am in the good - GRIN!)
I have lived here in Idaho all my life, and love it here.
I believe in studying out the best of all religions, all sciences, etc., and love to put together ideas from 40 or more different sources, and viewpoints, in order to see if underlying patterns, thoughts, or new interpretations come about.
Inevitably they do, and they have done so for over 30 years with me, so now I am to the point where I share my insights and interpretations. I love to learn, and love to share.
My wife called me the "Backyard Professor" and it stuck instantly with everyone, so here I am, the Backyard Professor. I have a B.S. from Idaho State University in History.
I love learning languages, and work on Hebrew, Greek, Latin, German, French, Egyptian Hieroglyphic, Arabic, Coptic, and Sanskrit, as I have time.
I also love making my wood art with my scrollsaw.
I love to research religions, ancient texts, Mormonism, and do woodart. I love to video record the beauty of the world and teach the power of ancient religious, philosophical, and scientific ideas.
