The number zero is not a number, nor has its influence been particularly heavenly in history. A relatively late invention, it has caused all sorts of mischief with truth through number as the ancients perceived. Anciently all was unity, or One. With zero put at the beginning of the numbers, “the structure of arithmetic itself, the additive base of calculation had to be cast aside.” With zero added, all sorts of problems, and changes in perception occurred. Take the example below 3+0 = 3; 3-0 = 3; 03 = 3; 30 = 3 X 10; But 3 X 0 = 0; And 3 / 0 = 0 (???) Here logic completely breaks down.
“The invention of zero permitted numbers to represent ideas which have no form. This signals a change in the definition of the word “idea”, which in antiquity was synonymous with “form”, and implies geometry. Western rationality negates Divine unity. It negates the ancient and revered Spiritual concept of Unity. With zero being adopted, Unity (1) loses its first position and becomes merely a quantity among other quantities. From the point of view of the natural world, zero does not exist; it is a completely mental entity.
The number one is only definable through the number two; it is multiplicity which reveals unity. There is much more to this effect by Robert Lawlor in his stunning book “Sacred Geometry: Philosophy and Practice,” Thames & Hudson, reprint 1994.
I’m just giving you a teaser of more ideas that are to come with my pod casts, as well as my posts here on how sacred geometry, quantum mechanics, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and Kabbalah, with a dose of mysticism can come together to stimulate us to appreciate the magnificent beauty and interest that is our universe we find ourselves having an “in-body” experience in…
